Why choose an outsourced HR team?
All organisations that employ staff have a requirement to provide a certain level of HR provision.
Outsourcing is a great alternative to having an in-house HR team. It can be more cost-effective than hiring a member of staff to manage your HR needs.
Can you prepare contracts and onboarding documents?
Yes, of course, we can prepare and manage all required documents for you and issue them directly to you new starters. We use Breathe as our HR software partner which can store all required documents as a reference point for both employees and management.
Our handbook and policies need reviewing – can you do this?
The team can look over and handbooks and policies for an ad-hoc fee or as part or our retained services.
We already have an in-house HR person/team – why do we need you?
HR deals with sensitive subjects, we can act as an impartial 3rd party and work alongside your in-house HR departments to offer any support or specialist advice that they may need.

Will I be speaking to a call centre?
Absolutely not, our HR team knows about you and your business and will be able to advise you on your on-going needs. Whilst we don’t have a room full of advisors simply waiting for your calls, we do have a knowledgeable and dedicated team ready to give you the right answer for your business.
We’re at the end of the phone or email for all your needs.
Am I tied into a contract?
On our retained packages, we give you varying amounts of flexibility. On these packages, we do ask for a minimum of 12-month commitment. We do offer ad-hoc services where you can pay as and when you require our services.
What happens if my business grows during the year?
YEY! This is exactly what we are here for, to help give you the ability to grow your company without dealing with HR requests. Our monthly packages are based on a service level provided in terms of monthly time required to help support you. If you grow significantly and require more help and advice from us, we can discuss this with you and ensure you are on a suitable package to support your growing needs.
Do you liaise with our employees?
Yes, although, this aspect is determined by yourself in the initial stages of our partnership. If you prefer, we can simply advise the business point of contact, however a number of our clients see the value us liaising with employees.
Traditionally, employees would go and knock on the door to the HR department to deal with their request, we see ourselves as being able to offer this level of service to your employees except we’re at the end of a phone or email.
We also offer an ‘in-house’ service where we will be on site for an agreed number of days a month and be very visible, approachable, and available to all staff.
Is there an easy way for my employees to see all their relevant documentation (i.e contracts etc)?
Of course, we work with a cloud-based software, Breathe, which takes all the hassle out of paperwork.
Using a tool such as this gives clarity and control to both employees and management. Allowing staff, the ability to access all their relevant documents with ease without them having to come to the HR department and request a copy of their contract gives some control back to the employee and allows for transparency between both parties. Breathe can also be accessed via an app so is highly accessible to all staff members.

How are the monthly payments made?
If you are on one of our retained packages, all payments are paid by monthly direct debit.
If I have an issue with an employee, when do I get in touch with you?
As soon as you can. We can deal with problems swiftly and the earlier you get in touch with us, the better, we can help avoid situations escalating. Our quick and comprehensive responses will ultimately save you time in the long run by ensuring things are done correctly.
How tailored will your advice be to my business?
We work with a number of business sectors, and pride ourselves on understanding the nuances of each business that we work with. Our team are HR experts and experienced in dealing with your type of business and will tailor their advice accordingly. We work with our team to ensure that they build up a thorough knowledge base of varying sectors.
How much will an employment tribunal cost me?
Typically costs can vary significantly depending on the case in question and the factors involved. What we do know though, is that by using our services, the chances of ending up at a tribunal are greatly minimised as we focus on issue resolution at an early stage which can stop a problem becoming costly in the long run.
What do I get for my money?
You get access to us! Its important to us we are available to you and your issues when you need us to be. As well as advice and hand holding where needed, you will receive a suite of documents including policies, procedures, tailored contracts, and handbooks. We are then on hand and able to support you with all of your people issues every step of the way.
Are there any additional set up costs?
No, there’s no set up costs with our retained service, the monthly fee covers anything that’s required.
Where are you based?
WE DO is based in Darlington, Co Durham. We currently support clients nationwide from Northumbria to Kent.
What hours are you available by phone or e-mail?
Our normal office hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. However in cases of emergencies, we support some clients where needed in the evening or weekends. If there is a chance that you will require out of office support for emergencies, this should be discussed when terms are agreed.
